The School of Foreign Languages (SFL) organized a symposium on learning, publicizing, and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress on November 28 in Room 513 of the Main Building to further promote the study, publicity, and implementation of the spirit and to empower the youth with the Party's scientific theory. The participants included SFL Party Secretary Xie Zhifang, the symposium's keynote speaker, and all student Party members and active Party candidates.
Xie delivered a speech titled "Political Declaration and Action Program for Achieving a New Victory in Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," involving his "Nine Deep Understandings."

He introduced the 20th National Congress and its symbolic achievements, analyzed the international and domestic affairs against the backdrop of the 20th National Congress, and explicated a series of major theoretical and practical problems in maintaining and advancing socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. As the culmination of the Party's and the people's wisdom, the significance of the Congress report lies in its indicating the direction of the new era ‘s progress for the Party and the country and the achievement of the second centenary goal and depicting a grand blueprint for the great rejuvenation of China. In addition, the 20th National Congress harbored high hopes for young students. In accordance with President Xi's perspective and approach to socialism with Chinese characteristics, Xie highlighted that the 20th National Congress expects young students to assume responsibility for the nation's future and aspire to accomplish the Party's dream.
