On November 22, the parallel session of “Cultural Exchanges” of the 10th JSU “Academic Forum for Chinese and Foreign Postgraduates” was held in the Third Lecture of the Meeting Center. The parallel session was undertaken by the School of Foreign Languages. Professor Wu Xiaofeng at the School of Liberal Arts, Professor Deng Li at the School of Art and Associate Professor Mao Yanfeng at the School of Foreign Languages served at the judges of the panel. Student delegates from all over the campus as well as Deputy Dean Zhang Lin of the School of Foreign Languages attended the forum.
At the very beginning of the forum, Associate Professor Mao Yanfeng delivered a keynote speech entitled “Learn the culture of others and embrace the cultural pluralism”. Then 10 postgraduates from all over the campus made their presentations to the judges and the forum participants, in which they introduced the academic achievements of their own on cultural pluralism from different perspectives. Gu Linyu from the School of Foreign Languages came out 1st, followed by Li Mingjing from the School of Liberal Arts and Wang Aiqi from the School of Teacher Education.
This forum demonstrated both the foreign and academic capabilities of JSU postgraduates. Meanwhile, it helped promote the intercultural exchanges of Chinese and foreign postgraduates and contributed to the internationalization of Jiangsu University.
