On September 23,according to the requirements and arrangement of theSchool,the iTEST trainingwas heldinZ406with a view to providing moredevices forforeign language testingand promotingthe in-depth integration ofcomputerizedteaching and foreign language classroominstruction.School of Foreign Languages leadersas well asthe whole facultyparticipated in this training.
The techniciansof the ForeignLanguage Teaching andResearchPressintroduced the functionsandproceduresof the iTEST to thefaculty,personallygave instructions to the trainees,patiently answered various questionsraised by them, and solved various technical problemson the spot. Through practicaloperation, most teachersmastered the use of the Application andachievedgoodresults intheirpost-training tests,thuslaying a good foundation forits future application to foreign language teaching at the University scale.
In recent years,there has been the general trend of computerizedteaching. So the School of Foreign Languagesdecided to buy the iTESTand apply it toall kinds of foreign language teachingon campus.This platformgreatly facilitatesthecomputerizedteaching and learning offoreign languages of the University. Not only will it free theteachers fromtherepetitivechores in dailyteaching, butit willalsorender it possible forstudentstoconduct independent learning and testing anytime and anywhere.Students may sit the university-level examsthroughsuch terminals ascomputers, mobile phones oriPAD. Thetrainingproduceda good effectinarousingthe interest ofthe facultyin online assessment.Through this training, the participantsnot onlyacquirednew knowledge aboutforeign language teaching and testing, master the new technologiesinvolved,and are better prepared for their future teaching.
