On October 2, headed by Vice President Ding Jianning, a team of 6 including Laboratory and Equipment Management Office Director Chen Yongqing and others concerned conducted a special inspection on the safety work of the School of Foreign Languages Laboratory, for the purpose of reinforcing the safety of the laboratory on campus in accordance with the Circular of Jiangsu University on Conducting the Laboratory Safety Inspection.
The inspectors first inspected the language laboratories for the English Department and the College English teaching. Then they listened to the report delivered by Dean Li Chongyue on the laboratory management system and the safety education of the School of Foreign Languages.
In a summary speech, Vice President Ding Jianning stressed that more efforts should be made to discover and eke out the safety loopholes in future work so that a long-term mechanism would be formed for the laboratory safety inspection and the guaranteeing of the safe and sound operation of laboratories, thus providing security for all undertakings of the University.
