The list of the National Social Science Fund projects for 2020 has been publicized, and is currently in the publicity period. According to the list, Jiangsu University has won 13 general programs and youth programs, 3 of which are won by the faculty of the School of Foreign Languages, namely “Julian Barnes’ narratives of the elderly” by Mr. Mao Weiqiang, “Translation and dissemination of Wen Xin Diao Long in the English world in the past 100 years” by Dai Wenjing, and “Impact of cross-cultural experience on the development of college Students’ cross-cultural ability” by Li Jiajun.
The National Social Science Fund projects are of the highest level, the most authoritative, the most influential, and the most competitive in the field of philosophy and social science in China. As an important indicator for the research strength of liberal arts of a college or university, it has been of great concern to the national academic circles. SFL attached great importance to and carefully organized the application work this year, actively mobilizing the faculty to file applications in accordance with the guidance. Early in the fall semester of 2019, the School had arranged for the applicants to participate in the project application seminar and guidance meeting organized by the Social Science Department of the University so as to promote the pertinence and the application quality. These efforts have contributed to the final results. Now SFL has successfully completed the National Social Science Fund application task assigned by the University for the year 2020.
