On September 16, in accordance with the requirements of the School and the concrete deployment of Deputy Dean Want Ying, the Center for Foreign Language Learning & College English Teaching Department III jointly organized the online training termed “Applying Koolearn to IELTS teaching” for the faculty of CET Department III, with a view to further promoting the computerization of College English classroom instruction, and to constructing the “Gold Classes” featuring online+offline teaching for the New Era.
The online training was conducted via Tencent Meeting. Deputy Dean Wu Yuanyuan of CET Department III presided over the event. Senior Manager Ren Yeli at Project Teaching Group of New Oriental was invited to demonstrate how to devise online exams, arrange for students to complete the papers online, mark the students’exams, analyze the students’performance in their papers, etc. on the Koolearn Platform. The trainees all said that the online exercises and tests on the Koolearn Platform may greatly improve the teaching and exam efficiency, providing a novel tool for the online+offline teaching.
With the pledge to promote the internationalization of the University since its initiation, CET Department III has always been actively involved in the teaching of international exams such as IELTS and TOEFL. For several times in this semester the Department worked together with the Center for Foreign Language Learning to exploit online teaching resources and to explore the online+offline hybrid teaching mode. This training is expected to help promote the efficiency of online teaching of IELTS and TOEFL.(School of Foreign Languages)
