On June 5, the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages held a special meeting in the SFL Conference Room on the United Front work. The meeting was presided over by Party Committee Secretary Xie Zhifang. All members of the SFL Party Committee participated in the meeting. Zhang Mingping and Yuan Haiyu, members of the University Party Committee Inspection Working Group, attended the meeting as nonvoting delegates.
At the meeting, Party Committee Secretary Xie Zhifang headed the conferees to learn the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the United Front work. The SFL leaders who are Party members introduced the situation of pairing with the members of non-Communist parties and personages without party affiliation. The participants analyzed the current situation of the United Front work in the School, exploring the plan on future work.
To conclude, Xie Zhifang stressed that it is important to fully understand the significance of the United Front work, to accurately grasp the focus of the current United Front work, to strengthen the sense of responsibility and capability, to improve the work style and put it into practice according to the requirements of this meeting.
