On June 8, Vice President Zhao Yutao inspected and investigated the employment of the SFL graduates in 2020. All leaders and student counselors of the School of Foreign Languages attended the meeting.
At the meeting, School leaders reported the contents of the SFL Special Session on Employment Promotion held on June 5th, the basic employment situation of the graduates of the year 2020 and the work plan and specific measures for the next stage.
After listening to the report, Vice President Zhao Yutao fully affirmed the employment work that has been done by the SFL and pointing out three important things. First, the current employment situation is so serious that the School should attach greater importance to it. The SFL should formulate countermeasures, clarify the overall employment situation of graduates, and educate them to get fully prepared for the serious situation by accepting the offer available before finding a better job. Then, the School should offer precise guidance to students, take different measures to solve different problems, fix the responsibility of each person involved, and divide the work to an individual person in charge. Moreover, we need to make concerted efforts to expand channels for employment. The School should actively contact employers, and actively recommend the graduates to them so that they will find jobs. Next, we should adopt flexible employment, adjust the employment expectations of students, and ensure their successful graduation and full employment. Last but not least, the SFL leaders should enhance their political stance and help students to find jobs one by one.
