On November 7th, according to the deployment of Jiangsu University Party Committee on the theme education of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Firmly in Mind Our Mission”, School of Foreign Languages Deputy Secretary & Deputy Dean Xia Jianru delivers a Party lecture on the theme education in the Conference Room of the Main Building to undergraduate and postgraduate Party members of the School of Foreign Languages.
The title of Xia’s lecture is “How to carry out the cultivation and education of college Party members”. Based on his own learning of and investigation for the theme education, he shared his experience and understanding with the conferees in his lecture comprising three parts: the great significance of cultivating and educating college Party members, ways to reinforcing the cultivation and education of college Party members, and how to be a qualified college Party member of the new era. According to him, to be a qualified Party member, one has to remain true to our original inspiration and keep firmly in mind our mission, stick to the communist ideal and belief unswervingly, keep on learning and shoulder our responsibilities courageously, and strive to build China into a wealthy, democratic, civilized, harmonious, beautiful and powerful socialist modern nation. College Party members ought to be ideologically and intellectually advanced, to have a persevering ideal and belief, to reinforce their morals and thoughts, to enhance their learning and skills, and to strive for the development both bravely and steadfastly.
