On the morning of September 2nd, the Jiangsu University Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation Director Jin Shude gave a lecture in the Lecture Hall of the School of Continuing Education to freshmen of the School of Foreign Languages entitled “Today you take pride in Jiangsu Universtiy, tomorrow Jiangsu University will take pride in you”.
In his lecture, Director Jin Shude first made a comprehensive review of opportunities and challenges that have confronted Jiangsu University in each major historical period, highlighting the history, philosophy, and reform practice of the University. He revealed the significance of the major achievements that have been made by Jiangsu University in its historical progress. Then Director Jin Shude introduced the working tasks and duties of Jiangsu University Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation. He pledged on behalf of the Working Committee to offer help to students faced with academic and life difficulties and care for the sound development of the mental health of students.
At the end of his lecture, Director Jin Shude raised his demands for all freshmen in eight Chinese characters paired into four expressions: ideal, practice, passion, and devotion. He extended hopes that all students would work hard to develop in an all-round way and strive to make great contributions to China! All the students were inspired by Jin’s lecture, who were determined from the bottom of their hearts to do their little bit to the realization of “Chinese Dream”.
