On the afternoon of August 30, a delegation of four including Jiangsu Donghai Economic Development Zone Joint Construction Park Deputy Director Ma Wenqi, Zhenjiang New Area Human Resources and Social Security Bureau Deputy Director Qiu Hui and others visited the School of Foreign Languages for an investigation and sharing of ideas. All administrative leaders of the School of Foreign Languages and the Main Office director attended the meeting.
Deputy Director Ma Wenqi first introduced the basic situation of the Zhenjiang-Donghai Joint Construction Park. In May 2007, Jiangsu Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Office officially approved the Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone Donghai Industrial Park to become the first batch of north-south joint construction parks in Jiangsu province. After nearly 12 years of continuous development of the Joint Construction Park, the exchanges and cooperation between the two sides have deepened. In the process of cooperation, the Zhenjiang Donghai Industrial Park has taken on a brand-new look. It has been ranked among the top ten construction parks in Jiangsusu for six consecutive years since 2012. Donghai county is known as the “Crystal Capital of China”. The East China Sea crystal is famous for its large reserves and pure texture. Zhenjiang-Donghai Joint Construction Park is promoting the sale of crystal products to the world. It has need for various kinds of foreign language talents, expecting to carry out relevant cooperation with the School of Foreign Languages of Jiangsu University.
School of Foreign Languages Dean Li Chongyue first extended a warm welcome to Ma and his delegation. Then he introduced the School of Foreign Languages from the aspects of faculty, undergraduate teaching, postgraduate training, academic research, student social practice and service. He hoped that the School of Foreign Languages and the Joint Construction Park will strengthen cooperation in providing good internship opportunities for the SFL students so that the School may better serve the society. Then, the leaders of the School of Foreign Languages and the guests had a full exchange of ideas and both made suggestions on how to further cooperate.
