On October 30, the School of Foreign Languages held Leadership Survey Results Exchange on the Theme Education of “Remain True to Our Original Aspiration and Keep Our Mission Firmly in Mind”. Members of the School leading body attended and exchanged their ideas at the meeting. Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong presided over the meeting. Deputy Chief of the 8th Jiangsu University Steering Group on Theme Education and Deputy Director of Jiangsu University Development Office Wang Peng attended the meet of exchange, making comments and offering guidance on the speeches delivered by the conferees.
Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong delivered a speech titled “Exert ourselves to promote the organization of SFL grassroots Party branches”. In his speech that dwells on major problems revealed through the survey, analysis on causes for the problems, and solutions to the problems and work ideas on future work, Lu pledges effort to promote the organizing power of the Party branches of the SFL and to guarantee the development of the University construction of “Double First-class” Initiative both in politics and organization.
SFL Dean Li Chongyue delivered a speech titled “Current situation, difficulties and countermeasures”. Based on detailed data, Li introduces the current situation of discipline construction, analyzes causes for the major existing problems, and proposes the measures for future work. His speech charts the orientation of the discipline construction and the development blueprint of the School.
Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Deputy Dean Xia Jianru delivered a speech titled “How to be a qualified college Party member in the New Era”. Deputy Dean Wang Ying delivered a speech titled “Focus attention on teaching work and promote the laboratory construction and management”.
Deputy Chief of the 8th Jiangsu University Steering Group on Theme Education and Deputy Director of Jiangsu University Development Office Wang Peng made comments and offered guidance on the speeches delivered by the above speakers.
Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong concluded the meeting by putting forward three demands on future work: one is to translate the survey results into practical action; another is to exert the integrated effect of the theme surveys conducted by the leadership and solve the problems at one stroke and with concerted efforts; still another is to integrate the promotion of the theme education into the completion of the overall yearly plan and join hands to bring all causes of the School to a new phase.
