On the afternoon of March 11, the School of Foreign Languages held the Promotion Meeting on Comprehensive, In-Depth Construction of Course Political Ideology in the Meeting Room of the International Language Courses Center in Room 102W of the Main Building in accordance with the deployment of the School Party Committee and the School Administration on the new semester.
At the meeting, Wu Peng conducted a meticulous summary on the substantial achievements that have been made in course political ideology construction and the social impact they have exerted. He extended thanks to the construction team members for their hard work and selfless contribution on behalf of the School of Foreign Languages. Not only has the College English course political ideology construction initiated by Jiangsu University endowed the College English teaching with profound meaning and problem consciousness, but it also has nurtured a group of excellent youth teachers and fortified the performance of College English teaching, according to Deputy Dean Wu. Then the team member each reported the latest advances in their work, and the main problems that confronted and puzzled them, sharing the practical teaching experiences and gains of theirs. All the participants agreed that all departments of the School should participate in the course political ideology construction to further promote and reinforce it. The experiences that have been gained by the College English faculty are applicable to the political ideology construction of other departments of the School. Finally, Wu Peng deployed the concrete tasks of the School Course Political Ideology Construction Team in the coming 3 years, that is textbook compilation, publication and related microlecture production.
The promotion meeting stimulated the work morale, ravel out the working ideas, and clarify the yearly key tasks of and work plan on the School-wise course political ideology construction, laying a good foundation for the comprehensive in-depth promotion of the course political ideology construction throughout the School.
