From December 21-23, the 3rd “Contemporary Foreign Languages Studies” International Conference on Second Language Processing was held in Heilongjiang University. School of Foreign Languages Dr. Zhang Beizhen delivered a speech at the meeting.
The theme of the 2018 annual meeting is “A pluralistic perspective on second language processing”. Dr. Zhang Beizhen’s speech entitled “Impact of semantic transparency on the processing of second language derivatives” aroused the commendatory attention of the participants. Dr. Zhang also joined the discussion of the parallel session of “Studies on the processing of second language lexical Semantics”. His viewpoints on research design, academic terminology and so on interested the experts at the meeting.
Second language processing is among the hot topics of second language acquisition and cognitive psychology of the present time. In view of this, “Contemporary Foreign Languages Studies” Second Language Processing Panel was founded in 2016. Then an annual meeting has been held each year to promote the development of related researches in China. This year Dr. Zhang Beizhen became an executive member of the reelected panel.
