Days ago, according to informed sources, Dean Chen Xin of the Postgraduate English Teaching Department won the title of “10 Best Teachers” of Zhenjiang’s tertiary education. She is the first awarded this honorary title among the faculty of the School of Foreign Languages.
Since 2013, the City of Zhenjiang has awarded the honorary title of “10 Best Teachers” to teachers of different levels. The “10 Best Teachers” of different levels in Zhenjiang this year were elected by the Education Working Committee of Zhenjiang City and the Education Bureau of Zhenjiang City. The organized election was aimed at commending the paragon teachers with noble morality, exquisite skills, rigorous principles and conscientious attitude. In recent years, headed by Dean Chen Xin, the Postgraduate English Department has made a lot of teaching achievements by constantly exploring and renovating teaching approaches. In 2016 the Department won a second prize for the National Postgraduate Teaching Achievements; in 2015 the Department won a first prize for the Postgraduate Teaching Model Reform of Jiangsu Province, which played a positive role in reforming the postgraduate English curriculum in Jiangsu province. The honorary title won by Chen Xin this year is the outcome of the great effort made by the School of Foreign Languages to construct a renowned school with high teaching quality.
