On the morning of October 18, Li Rui of CET Department I gave a demonstration lesson in Room 2613 of the Sanshan Building. A number of faculties from the School of Foreign Languages and others attended the observation teaching and held a heated discussion on it after class.
The fully-prepared lecture by Li Rui that features beautiful courseware and plentiful teaching techniques rendered an erudite lesson on Academic English both lively and interesting, helping students better understand the theme of a text through the skillful Q & A. Li explained her lecture thoroughly and adopted the interactive Q & A more than once to engage the students. Whatever she lectured on was clearly presented and actually attained the teaching objective fixed in advance. Li adopts a unique teaching approach, arranges her lecture contents reasonably and delivers her lecture in a refreshing style and authentic English pronunciation, said the faculties attending the demonstration lesson. The lecture of hers is of much benefit to all participants.
Li Rui of CET Department I has won awards for the University-level or the provincial-level teaching contests of all kinds. The demonstration lesson named Academic English delivered by her this time is ranked among the featured and the key courses of the School. Her lecture is of great exemplary significance. It allows the students to think freely under the guidance of a teacher, who are expected to enhance their comprehension of an academic English text and effectively promote their ability of critical thinking, reading and writing.
