Emergency Plans for Disasters of Fire, Electricity and Others of the Foreign Languages Laboratory of Jiangsu University
The following emergency plans are formulated to ensure the proper operation of the teaching facilities of the language laboratory and the smooth operation of foreign language teaching in the language laboratory in view of the operation characteristics of the language laboratories in the Foreign Language Learning Center of the School of Foreign Languages.
When he or she detects any sign that might trigger the occurrence of an electrical hazard (including but not limited to the leakage of furred ceiling, unstable voltage, or the smell of burnt substance from the electrical equipment), an operator on duty must handle the emergency calmly by evacuating the students in an orderly manner, shutting off the power supply concerned, and contacting the technicians concerned to come to the spot immediately.
When a fire or any other hazard occurs, an operator on duty must handle the emergency calmly by evacuating the students immediately, ensuring that they leave the spot safely and orderly through each exit passageway. In the meanwhile, he or she should dial the emergency number and report the case to his or her superior.
In case there are people wounded in a coma due to the leakage of electricity, an operator on duty must handle the emergency calmly by shutting off the power supply concerned so that a second harm might occur, dialing the emergency number concerned immediately and giving first aid to the victims as long as they can ensure their own safety.
