From November 25 to 28, the Clinic for Foreign Language Learning at the School of Foreign Languages organized four lectures for English exam candidates under the sponsorship of the School of Foreign Languages and the Teaching Affairs Office. These lectures were given in response to the need of the students in preparation for various English exams.
The lecture series cover four exams, that is National Entrance Test of English for MA/MS Candidates, IELTS, CET-4, and CET-6. The lectures were delivered by Ju Xiaoli, Kong Lingxuan, Ding Weiwei and Cai Shanshan from the School of Foreign Languages. The four lecturers gave a detailed explanation and analysis on main question types, rules for the question design, pitfalls that often trap the exam candidates, tips for the solution of exam questions, and the review plan for the current stage by resorting to their cumulative experiences of classroom instruction. The lectures are instructive and very useful, and they attracted a wide range of students in the campus.
“Lecture Series for Exam Candidates” has been held once every semester. It is one of the important activities embodying the teaching spirit of “Unique Craftsmanship Always for You”. These lectures are aimed at providing quality English teaching services for faculty and students of Jiangsu University by updating the teaching methodology, expanding the scope of English teaching services in the campus and promoting the internationalization of the University.
