On October 9th and October 11th, respectively, to steadfastly promote the theme education of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, the School of Foreign Languages Party Committee organized Party members to collectively see the patriotic movie titled “Me and My Motherland”. Through the movie, the viewers reviewed the glorious achievements that the People’s Republic of China has achieved in the past 70 years, which inspired the patriotism of all the Party member viewers and reminded them of their contemporary mission.
With seven stories respectively titled “The Eve”, “The Meeting”, “Championship”, “Reunion”, “Hello Beijing”, “Daytime Meteors”, and “Convoying”, the movie “Me and My Motherland” recounts events concerning the common people all the way through the development of the People’s Republic of China. The movie has drawn materials from myriad classic moments in the history of the People’s Republic of China. As a synopsis of the glorious history of 70 years, the movie portrays the epochal changes of China through the perspective of ordinary people, moves the audience to tears with its record of countless glorious historic moments, reveals the great power crystallized out of ordinary Chinese people. This is a really contagious movie.
The strong national confidence and pride activated by the movie long stays in the mind of the movie goers. The film has greatly enhanced the sense of honor, mission and responsibility of all Party members, boosting their enthusiasm for the socialist cause. The Party member viewers vied to say that they will further strengthen their patriotic faith, never forget our original aspiration, keep firmly in mind our mission, work hard at their own jobs, carry forward the reform and development of the University undertakings with a stronger sense of responsibility, and accelerate the construction of Jiangsu University into a “double first-rate”, high-level research-oriented university with a more vigorous spirit of struggle.
