On October 14, at the Party Secretary Forum held in Z513 of the Main Building, Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong delivered a report titled “Adhere to the Original Aspiration for Talent Cultivation and Take the Epochal Mission with Courage”. Party branch members and part of the faculty and student Party members attended the class.
In his report, Party Committee Lu Yunsong said, to well carry out the theme education of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, we must perseveringly adhere to our ideal and faith, lay a solid foundation of thought, and replenish the spiritual calcium; to well carry out the theme education of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, we must hold firmly to the general requirements of “Hold fast to the original aspiration, take the mission bravely, find out where we have lagged behind, and make effort to put theoretical thinking into practice”; to well carry out the theme education of “Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind”, we must keep firmly in mind the consciousness of our mission, trying our best to serve the people and bring benefits to the people. He extended hopes that each Party branch and Party members would constantly promote their ideological consciousness through the theme education, make good efforts to organize the activities for the theme education, and drive the high-quality development through the theme education, deepen the reform and renovation in key fields through examining and rectifying the problems in practice, and actually transform the theme education achievements into the ideological consensus of the faculty and students on constructing Jiangsu University into a “double first-rate” and high-level research-oriented university.
