On the afternoon of May 30, the School of Foreign Languages held a dialogue with its youth faculty in the School Meeting Room. Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong chaired the meeting attended by the School administration, youth members of the School Party Committee and representatives of the School youth faculty.
The meeting commenced with a speech by Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong, who spoke positively about the personal growth of the School youth faculty and the efforts they have made to boost the development of the School and the contributions they have made to the educational cause of the School.
Then Dean Chen Hong delivered a speech, in which she hoped that young teachers should strive to attain the objective of “cultivating high-quality talents” and lay a solid foundation for “career development” in the process of realizing the Chinese dream of national revitalization and their personal dream of a successful career. They must, she continued, “be teachers of profound learning and high moral standing”, and teachers“who love their motherland and observe the law, who are devoted to work and take care of their students, who impart knowledge and inculcate the moral principles, who pursue their studies precisely and persistently, who offers services to the society and set up a model for others”.
Towards the end of the meeting, Party Secretary Lu Yunsong extended thanks again to the participants for their contributions to the School development. He extended wishes that everyone of us earnestly learn and implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, constantly equip ourselves with the Xi Jinping’s thought on a socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, fortify ourselves with repeated learning, devote ourselves to the work of educating and cultivating talents, and strive to make greater contributions to the various work of the SFL and the construction of Jiangsu University into a high-level university.
