On January 22nd , Zhang Mingping, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, and Li Chongyue, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, led a delegation of seven department heads to visit College of International Studies of Yangzhou University . The visit focused on on the revision of talent cultivation programs, certification of English major of teacher education and the training of MTI candidates.
The leadership of the College of International Studies of Yangzhou University warmly welcomed our delegation. The deans of both parties brielfly inrtroduced the development , faculty, academic and professional programs, scientific research, talent cultivation, social services, and internationalization efforts of their respective colleges.
Both parties had in-depth exchanges on topics such as revision of undergraduate training programme, certification of English teacher training major, MTI training and so on. In response to the specific issues raised by our school, such as curriculum setting of English (teacher training) major, arrangement of educational practice, construction of practice bases, optimization of faculty structure, credit setting of Japanese basic courses and setting of elective courses for Japanese majors, college English curriculum system, MTI cultivation etc., the teachers of College of Foreign Languages of Yangzhou University shared their valuable experience one by one, which provided useful references for our school to carry out the revision of undergraduate cultivation programmes and the certification of English teacher training major.
Secretary Zhang Mingping expressed his gratitude for the reception and sharing by the College of International Studies of Yangzhou University, stating that Jiangsu University and Yangzhou University are brother universities connected by a narrow strip of water. The two colleges have close ties, and both sides should further strengthen connections and exchanges in various aspects to promote high-quality development for each other.
