Recently, Associate Professor Wu Peng, dean assistant of the School of Foreign Languages was officially appointed as a member of the new editorial board of Argumentation, an internationally renowned periodical indexed by both SSCI and A&HCI. Before this, Wu Peng had already been appointed as an editorial board member of Journal of Argumentation in Context famous in the field of argumentation studies.
Initiated in 1987, Argumentation is a periodical published triannually by John Benjamins of Holland. It is one of the most authoritative periodicals in the international community of argumentation, which also exerts great influence in the fields of linguistics, communicating, logic, rhetoric, politics etc. Associate Professor Wu Peng is the third Asian scholar that has ever been elected into the editorial board of Argumentation in history. His election further demonstrates the ever increasing fame and influence of the argumentation studies of Jiangsu University faculties in the international academic circles.
