On the morning of May 11, President Yan Xiaohong and Party Discipline Inspector Gao Qingguo of Jiangsu University did a survey at the School of Foreign Languages, accompanied by Director Wu Linlin of the President’s Office. The leadership of the School of Foreign Languages attended the investigation meeting.
On behalf of the School of Foreign Languages, Dean Chen Hong presented a report titled “Realize the leap-frog development centered at the construction of “Double First-Class Project”. In her report, she gave an account of the achievements that have been made in construction of teaching faculty, talent cultivation, discipline construction, etc., as well as a briefing of the school profile. She also forecast the vision of school development. Party Committee Secretary Lu Yunsong of the School reported on the work done in ideological education, the reinforcement of four consciousnesses, the conglomeration of varied efforts, and the construction of honest Party and administration. Other leaders of the School did supplementary reports on their respective administrative work.
After listening to all the reports minutely, the two University leaders gave an affirmative feedback to the achievements of the School of Foreign Languages, with concrete guidance on the future work, and they hoped that the School of Foreign Languages would make the best of its advantages to make contribution to the construction of “Double First-Class Project” and the objective of building Jiangsu University into a top-notch university.
