Recently, the “ARWU 2021 China's Best Subject Rankings” was officially released, and a total of 118 colleges and universities were on the list of “Best Subjects of Foreign Languages and Literatures of China”. For the consecutive sixth time, Jiangsu University comes out 6th on the list among colleges and universities in Jiangsu province. The 5 universities that rank ahead of Jiangsu University this year are Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University, Suzhou University, Yangzhou University and Jiangsu Normal University. The top 4 universities offer doctoral programs in Foreign Languages and Literatures. Jiangsu University is in the top 40% of all colleges and universities listed.
This year Jiangsu University ranks ahead of Jiangsu universities like Nantong University, Southeast University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Jiangsu University of Science and Technology, and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Over the years, the School of Foreign Languages of Jiangsu University have attached great importance to the discipline construction, and conspicuously have produced good results. In the last round of national discipline evaluation, Jiangsu University’s Foreign Languages and Literatures Subject ranked 7th in Jiangsu province.
