On the afternoon of April 10, the School of Foreign Languages held the “Video Conference on Epidemic Prevention and Control and Safety Training of Laboratories and Postgraduate Studios”. The meeting was held to further reinforce the safety education of the School laboratories and research institutes during the epidemic period, to raise the risk prevention consciousness of the laboratory staffs, employees and the MA supervisors. The Laboratory Center Director Li Meng presided over the meeting. Jiangsu University Laboratory and Equipment Management Office Technical Safety Section Director Wu Yunyong was invited to give a keynote speech. All people concerned attended the meeting.
At the meeting, Wu Yunlong expounded clearly the laboratory safety notion, the requirements for the epidemic prevention and control, the emergency drilling procedures and the emergency evacuation requirements. During the Q-A session, the speaker patiently answered the concrete questions raised by the conferees about safety protection and disinfection.
Deputy Dean Wang Ying stressed the importance of reinforcing the laboratory safety during the epidemic period. She required that the consciousness of “All for life and safety” should be firmly established, the responsibility system should be fortified, and earnest efforts should be made to accomplish the safety work. We should strive to strengthen the safety education of the faculty and students, to raise their consciousness of safety protection and urgency response capability, to pool the efforts of the faculty and students to form a stronger force for the safety maintenance and stability, and to guarantee the safe development of all undertakings of the School, said Wang.
