On the afternoon of June 5, Ms. Yang Jing and Ms. Wang Shu of the European Languages Department gave lectures on College German Test Band-4 and Band-6 in Z201 of the Main Building. Nearly 40 students and the faculty of European Languages Department attended the lectures.
The lectures by two speakers sum up the question types of College German Test Band-4 and Band-6 of the past three years. They made a topical classification of the listening, reading, grammar and vocabulary, translation and translation questions in the papers. Moreover, they analyzed the commonly used lexicon and sentence pattern and offered some tips for the solution of questions. Ms. Yang and Ms. Wang cited a lot of examples from authentic examination papers to illustrate each type of questions so that they would make their lectures more concrete and specific. Finally the two teachers made a review plan for the students according to the particular case of each student.
The lectures have given students some “real” things, helping them detect what they had neglected and nail down the key points for their exam preparation. They were warmly welcomed by the students. (School of Foreign Languages)
