The Conference Marking the 70th Anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence was held in Beijing on June 28th. The commemorative activities centered on the theme of "From the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence to Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind." Four sub-forums focused respectively on the timeless value of Asian wisdom, the vision and mission of the "Global South" in the context of major changes, building a prosperous world through Chinese-style modernization, and promoting extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits. These sub-forums aimed to forge a broad consensus among all parties on building a community with a shared future for mankind.
Former political leaders from countries such as Vietnam, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, Maldives, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Brazil, Guyana, Japan, South Korea, Italy, France, Croatia, and Slovenia, representatives of international and regional organizations, ambassador from more than 100 countries to China, experts, scholars, friendly personage, media representatives, and representatives from the business community participated in the conference. Xu Bu, Chairman of the Global Development and Security Institute at Jiangsu University, was invited to attend the ceremony.
