School of Foreign Languages held discussions on collaborative education initiatives with Joanne Stott, Director of International Recruitment , and Felicity Scott, International Collaboration Officer from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Lancaster University on July 1st. Lancaster University is ranked 122nd in the QS World University Rankings. The discussion was hosted by Li Chongyue, Dean of School of Foreign Languages. Other participants included Li Jiajun, Deputy Dean in charge of undergraduate teaching affairs; Li Xia, Deputy Dean assisting in graduate education; Feng Ruizhen, Director of the MTI Education Center; and Jiang Ping, a teacher who previously visited and liaised with Lancaster University. Dean Li began by providing a detailed introduction to the faculty strength, undergraduate majors, graduate programs, teaching, and research activities of School of Foreign Languages. He emphasized that the 2+1 dual-degree Master of Translation and Interpreting program is the first collaborative project signed between Jiangsu University and Lancaster University, and School of Foreign Languages is committed to effectively promoting the implementation of this program. Joanne Stott, Director of International Recruitment at Lancaster University, introduced Lancaster University's history, academic programs, and collaboration opportunities in the fields of humanities and social sciences. Both sides engaged in open and frank discussions, delving deeply into issues of mutual concern.
