On the morning of May 18, a university-level demonstration lecture named “College English Development -- IELTS Reading and Writing” was given in 409 Sanjiang Building. Ms. Zhang Yu of CET Department II gave the lecture, visited and observed by Deputy Dean Su Jianhong of the School, deans of all departments of the School, faculties from both inside and outside the School of Foreign Languages.
Ms. Zhang Yu’s lecture progressed step by step, was very resourceful, and provided useful tips for problem solving. The students’ participation in her lecture was extensive and she offered practical guides to students for their participation. After the lecture the visitors went into active interaction with the lecturer on teaching methodology and contents.
The University-level Demonstration Lecture provides a platform for the exchanges of ideas on teaching, creates a good atmosphere for teaching research on a full scale, and helps especially young faculties to constantly raise their teaching level and quality. (School of Foreign Languages)
