The Laboratory Department(aka Foreign Languages Learning Center) of the School of Foreign Languages, since its establishment, has dedicated itself to the aiding and service of various foreign languages teaching & learning activities of all the students and faculty members of the whole university. It has always ensured that the information technology-aided foreign languages teaching & learning activities are conducted successfully in a smooth and orderly way. At present, the Foreign Languages Learning Center is situated on the third-to-fifth floors of the Main Building. It has a total of 17 various language laboratories, covering a floor area of 1350 square meters. It also has under its charge two radio transmitting stations, responsible for sending the audio of listening comprehension part of various foreign language examinations on the air.

The Center at present has in total 4 full-time staff members, responsible for management and technical assistance.
