I. Objective:
The Institute of Japan Studies is aimed at carrying out a comprehensive and systematic study on Japanese language, literature, society, history, culture, politics, economy, thoughts, education, etc., strengthening and promoting Japan Studies in Jiangsu University and making our contributions to Japan Studies in China. We are also making efforts to promote the mutual understanding of the Chinese and the Japanese people, the good relations and exchanges between the two states, and the prosperity and peace and development of China and Japan as well as other states in East Asia.
